Description of research area

Our lab focuses on research in the area of social cognition (including person perception and impression formation). We study topics such as implicit impressions, group stereotyping, and self-monitoring. We are interested in addressing questions such as: Are you truly judged by the company you keep? What are the impressions people form of others without awareness? Are people accurate at predicting emotional states of members of other groups?

Description of undergraduate participation

Undergraduates will serve as experimenters and will be in charge of actually conducting the experiments in the lab. Undergraduates will also help in the preparation of stimulus materials to be used in the experiments. Attendance in lab meetings will also be required.
