Current research is focused on two issues. The first issue concerns the nature and effects of mood and emotion in work settings. This research deals with the following kinds of topics: types of emotional reactions displayed at work; the behavioral implications of different emotional reactions; mood cycles; the effects of transitory mood changes on work behaviors; the relationships among mood, emotion, and job satisfaction. The second issue is the relevance of personality concepts for predicting and explaining work behavior.
