The workshop will be held in the historical center of Prague, in room 418 in the building of the Czech Union of Scientific and Technological Societies, Novotneho Lavka 5, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic.

Please use a navigator to get to the meeting place. If this is your first workshop, you are strongly advised to see the location on the day before the meeting.

There are many nice hotels in the vicinity of this location, but if you decide to stay in a more distant one, you can get to the meeting place by metro (stations Staromestska, Mustek, and Narodni Trida are 10 mins of walking away), by tram (e.g., #2, #17, #18), or by taxi (ask your hotel to order one for you).

Directions

Here is how the entrance to the meeting place looks. It is in the middle of a small cul-de-sac called Novotneho Lavka: see the map.

If you approach from the south walking by Smetanovo Nabrezi, you will first see this cul-de-sac as this. When you reach its corner (with a tunnel full of small tourist-trap shops), turn left, and you will see the length of the cul-de-sac. Its dead end, if you pass the entrance doors, looks like this.

If you approach from the north (by Krizovnicka), east (by Karlova) or west (from the other bank of the river, over the Charles Bridge), you will find yourself on a small square (Krizovnicke Namesti) at the entrance to the Charles Bridge (= Karluv Most). Position yourself so that the bridge is on your right, facing the already-mentioned tunnel with tourist-trap shops (don't mind the scary sign about medieval torture). Go through the tunnel or by the narrow sidewalk on its left, and you will find yourself on the cul-de-sac of the meeting.

When inside, look for QCQMB signs, or just take elevator to the 4th floor and walk to room 418..

Eating and drinking

We provide basic refreshments with coffee and bottled water. During the lunch break you can use one of the dozens of restaurants around, two or three of them right on the Novotneho Lavka street. Please don't walk farther than 10 minutes away for a lunch place, it makes little sense, and we all need to be back from the lunch promptly.
